Zipitty Doo Dah, #428

Standard

A trip to Disneyland only comes around a couple of times during childhood if you’re lucky.  The last time we went, my kids were 2 & 4-years-old.  Now they’re almost 6 & 8, and this time around, at an older age, the “happiest place on Earth” took on new meaning.  My youngest barely even remembers our first trip to Disney, and you could just see the excitement in his eyes as we entered into the gates and saw Sleeping Beauty’s castle for the first time.  Disneyland is where dreams come true, and the best way I know how to tell you about our day there is to share some photos with you.

Here’s my husband and kids in front of the castle:

Astro Blasters, the Buzz Lightyear ride, was so much fun.  Check it out..

My son was crazy with  excitement over the tea cups!

Look what good sport I was:

It’s a Small World makes everyone happy!

Winnie the Pooh is so sweet.  Here we go…off to Pooh Corner.

Hardly any bickering all day long, but we still put the kids in the dog pound!

I had never taken the raft over to Tom Sawyer’s Island before.  The exploring is endless.  Here my daughter climbed a cage made out of skulls and bones!

No trip would be complete without meeting Mickey and Minnie.  Here they are…the stars of Disneyland!

It truly was unforgettable  After 12 hours at the park and over 20 rides completed, we were exhausted…but with amazing memories to last forever.   My song of the day is a Disney classic, and we heard it all day long yesterday.  Click the Youtube link and enjoy Zipitty Doo Dah:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcxYwwIL5zQ

We’re still filled with this amazing experience, and we lived happily ever after.

About tucsonsongstress

I am a music teacher for children ages 6-weeks-old - 8th grade. I am also a camp songleader and a Jewish music specialist with and without my husband who is known as Shabbat Scott. We love singing with people of all ages all over Tucson. My "song of the day" idea originally started by playing music challenges on Facebook. I loved choosing songs, and my friends seemed to love reading and listening to my choices. I have decided to continue a daily blog (or as daily as I can manage) and tell you all some stories through some songs that have touched me either in wonderful ways or by annoying the heck out of me. Hope you all enjoy this blog! Happy singing!
