This Magic Moment, #429

Standard

This has been an incredible weekend for me…one that I will never forget.  Besides traveling for hours in a car with my family, spending a day at Disneyland, meeting my darling 1-year-old nephew for the fist time, there is one special moment that is something I have found myself thinking about a lot.

It was the end of our day at Disneyland, and we were trying to find a place to sit down and watch the Fantasmic show.  Our son was sleeping, and we were all so exhausted after spending 12 hours running around the Magic Kingdom.  We asked a Disney staff person where we could sit, and she basically told us we were out of luck…there really weren’t any good options since the show was starting in 5 minutes.  A moment later, we were standing and so tired, and she tracked us down again explaining, ” I’m going to make a magic moment for you.”. She lead us to a reserved seating area, and the show was the highlight of our whole day.  Check out this link about Fantasmic, because really…it was one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen in my entire life:

All Disneyland staff people are trained at Disney U before they begin working as “cast members.”. I believe they must be told to give “magic moments” whenever they can, and I will tell you, that moment watching the Fantasmic  show is certainly something we will never forget.  We left Disneyland on an absolute high, and her “magic moment” went a long way with us.

Thank goodness life is filled with magic moments.  They are what makes life exciting, and so my song of the day is Jay and the Americans singing “This Magic Moment.”  Here is the YouTube link:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpePWo56zm4&feature=youtube_gdata_player

May all your days be filled with unforgettable magic.  🙂

About tucsonsongstress

I am a music teacher for children ages 6-weeks-old - 8th grade. I am also a camp songleader and a Jewish music specialist with and without my husband who is known as Shabbat Scott. We love singing with people of all ages all over Tucson. My "song of the day" idea originally started by playing music challenges on Facebook. I loved choosing songs, and my friends seemed to love reading and listening to my choices. I have decided to continue a daily blog (or as daily as I can manage) and tell you all some stories through some songs that have touched me either in wonderful ways or by annoying the heck out of me. Hope you all enjoy this blog! Happy singing!
