Sing a Song, #502

A little over two years ago, I went to an incredible song leading conference in St. Louis called Song Leader’s Boot Camp.  (SLBC)  Jewish rock star, Rick Recht, launched a very worthwhile 3-day intensive learning that really honed in on the skills as a song leader.  There was nothing of its kind before, and finally, I was among my people.  The techniques offered and just the whole experience of meeting other song leaders from across the country who were just like me was eye-opening and life changing.

Tomorrow, I am headed to a regional SLBC conference in Phoenix, and I am jumping out of my skin with anticipation!  I am so excited to meet song leaders that are in my own back yard, and I know that this weekend promises to be invaluable learning and growth and inspiration.  Rick Recht and Todd Herzog are the facilitators of the conference, and I completely value their expertise.  To read a little more about Rick Recht, click HERE for his website, and click HERE for Todd Herzog’s website, too.  To learn about both the national SLBC and other regional SLBC’s, click HERE.

So, blog readers, I can promise you some really good, high energy and positive blog posts over the next couple of days.  I will be on a musical high and am inviting you all to join me for the journey.  Read my blogs and follow me on Twitter (@juliezaz1) and hopefully, part of the inspiration will rub off on you, too.  It’s going to be a wild ride and one that I know will stay with me forever!

My song of the day is the Carpenter’s “Sing,” because I am heading into a weekend of non-stop singing and music.  What could be better?  Click HERE to go to Youtube and to hear a song that makes everyone want to sing a long.  It’s perfect for a song leading blog, as that is the job of a song leader…to get you all singing along and to bring you all together!
