Your Song, #525

People come up to me all the time and suggest what my next “song of the day” should be.  What they don’t get is that I choose my songs of the day based on what is going on in my life or in the world around me.  For that one moment, the song needs to touch something within me, and no one can really help me choose what my song should be.

That is one of the reasons why I have decided to open up my blog to all of you.  Music is a universal language and an art that we all can relate to.  Of course you all have songs of the days, too, and I want to know what they are.

I have created a new “Contact Me” tab on the top of the page on The Tucson Songstress site, and I want you all to use it.  (You can click HERE to check it out now.)  Let me know what your “song of the day” is and why you have chosen it.  If I feel it blends well with my site, I’d love to invite you to guest blog.

Guest blogging is also a great way to draw traffic and attention to your site, as well.  We’ll share a link to your blog and get you a little exposure, too.

My song of the day today is in honor of all the potential guest blogs and introductions to new sites I am hoping to get.  Elton John’s “Your Song” fits this topic perfectly today, because I am hoping you will share “Your Song” with me.  Click HERE to go to Youtube to hear Elton John perform this beautiful piece of music.  This performance is obviously from the ’70’s, but the song is timeless.

I hope to hear from you all soon!  Please keep in touch, and until then….have a wonderfully musical day!

About tucsonsongstress

I am a music teacher for children ages 6-weeks-old - 8th grade. I am also a camp songleader and a Jewish music specialist with and without my husband who is known as Shabbat Scott. We love singing with people of all ages all over Tucson. My "song of the day" idea originally started by playing music challenges on Facebook. I loved choosing songs, and my friends seemed to love reading and listening to my choices. I have decided to continue a daily blog (or as daily as I can manage) and tell you all some stories through some songs that have touched me either in wonderful ways or by annoying the heck out of me. Hope you all enjoy this blog! Happy singing!
