Toxic, #587

There are some environments that you know going into are going to be unhealthy for you.  History has shown that these places harm you again and again.  So why do you keep going back for more?

I wish life was so simple that you could just wipe your hands clean of these places.  Unfortunately, it does not always work that way.  There are so many different factors that force you into these toxic environments time and time again, so you arm yourself with boundaries and thick skin hoping that you will make it through.  Most often, you are unsuccessful, but time heals wounds, and you end up forgetting and going back for more.

My song of the day is Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” because for all my dear readers who know first-hand what I’m talking about in this blog, I just want to say that “It’s not worth it!”  Get out of your toxic situations and listen to this song by clicking HERE as a reminder.  Surround yourself with love and positive energy….not unhealthy environments that drive you nuts.

About tucsonsongstress

I am a music teacher for children ages 6-weeks-old - 8th grade. I am also a camp songleader and a Jewish music specialist with and without my husband who is known as Shabbat Scott. We love singing with people of all ages all over Tucson. My "song of the day" idea originally started by playing music challenges on Facebook. I loved choosing songs, and my friends seemed to love reading and listening to my choices. I have decided to continue a daily blog (or as daily as I can manage) and tell you all some stories through some songs that have touched me either in wonderful ways or by annoying the heck out of me. Hope you all enjoy this blog! Happy singing!
