Homework, #1061

Standard

Oh my Lord!  I spent 6 hours doing homework yesterday!  I knew Grad school would keep me busy, but yeesh!  I had my hubby spend the afternoon with the kids in order to have a quiet place to work.  I thought I’d use that time to do my homework and clean the house a bit.  Wrong, wrong, wrong!  I got 1 load of laundry done during that time and didn’t clean a single thing!

In my undergrad days in my 20’s, I just wouldn’t have completed everything.  This whole process is really making me examine my 20-year-old self, and I can’t help but wonder how I ever learned the concept of having a work ethic.

Despite my griping, I am really enjoying the work and love the discussions the Grad school students are having in our online chat rooms.  There is some good stuff in there, but goodness – it is a lot of work!  I went to bed with an overloaded brain last night and a throbing headache.

My song has to be about homework today, because it’s all I did yesterday.  There is nothing else to report.  Sorry if I’m being a bit of a bore.  At least I’ll provide you with some good music, and at least I found a Fleetwood Mac song I’ve never hear before.  Their song “Homework” is a nice new addition to the Fleetwood Mac catalog I always keep floating around in my mind.  Enjoy!

About tucsonsongstress

I am a music teacher for children ages 6-weeks-old - 8th grade. I am also a camp songleader and a Jewish music specialist with and without my husband who is known as Shabbat Scott. We love singing with people of all ages all over Tucson. My "song of the day" idea originally started by playing music challenges on Facebook. I loved choosing songs, and my friends seemed to love reading and listening to my choices. I have decided to continue a daily blog (or as daily as I can manage) and tell you all some stories through some songs that have touched me either in wonderful ways or by annoying the heck out of me. Hope you all enjoy this blog! Happy singing!
