Here’s the story. She was so proud of herself. She had found this Monster High Werewolf Doll she had been wanting on Ebay for half the price of what it is worth. We were pretty impressed that she took it upon herself to research it and price it out, so we bid on Ebay and won the bet for her.
The doll arrived, and it was a seriously treasured item for our little girl. Not only was it something that she wanted, but she was so pleased with herself that she had negotiated a fine deal. My hubby, an expert in bargain shopping, couldn’t have done better.
You all must know where this story is leading…to an unhappy ending. Unfortunately, we have a dog who is a chewer. My kids should have learned by now that if you leave toys lying around, that there is no guarantee of their survival in our house. That, blog friends, is the case of this story. Her cute little doll has been destroyed. Our “bad to the bone” doggie ate an arm and chewed up a foot.
Tears! Big tears upon the discovery! I tried explaining that werewolves get in fights, and her little dollie must have been in a brutal one in the middle of the night. I got an eye roll and just more tears. Guess my story wasn’t very consoling.
So…we are on Ebay and Amazon again looking for another doll, and our girl has had a hard lesson learned.
My song of the day is for our rotten furry friend who is in the dog house this morning! “Bad to the Bone” by George Thorogood sums it ups perfectly. No treats for him today!
