Peaceful, #1114

My son has the most amazing teacher, and anytime there’s a performance, you know it’s going to be extra special.  Last night, we got to attend the class “Cookies & Milk” presentation.  Twenty-five of the most darling little “whippersnappers” (as the teacher calls them) sang to their heart’s content,  shared stories that they had written and ran around in circles with tasty treats in their bellies.

When I was little, we used to tease my mother for crying every time we had a performance.  I guess now that I am a parent, too, I can understand where she was coming from, because boy did my eyes well as I watched these sweet kiddos.  How they truly touch my heart.  So, here’s their very beautiful performance to share with you all as my song of the day today.  I had never heard the song before and have no idea who it is by, but it is called “Peaceful.”  Please comment on the post if you know it, because I’d love some more info on it.  The holidays bring about children’s performances, so may all your performances be as merry and bright as this one is!

About tucsonsongstress

I am a music teacher for children ages 6-weeks-old - 8th grade. I am also a camp songleader and a Jewish music specialist with and without my husband who is known as Shabbat Scott. We love singing with people of all ages all over Tucson. My "song of the day" idea originally started by playing music challenges on Facebook. I loved choosing songs, and my friends seemed to love reading and listening to my choices. I have decided to continue a daily blog (or as daily as I can manage) and tell you all some stories through some songs that have touched me either in wonderful ways or by annoying the heck out of me. Hope you all enjoy this blog! Happy singing!
