What a Long Strange Trip Its Been – 2014 in Review

Every year, WordPress sends you a report that does a summary of your blog year.  I love it.  It always makes me feel like I accomplished something big.  They suggest sharing it on your site.  So here y’all go.  You can see it’s been an amazing blog year for me.

The biggest thing that I’ve been looking for in my site are my grand totals.  Last year, there was a day where I had a spy bot and got about 6000 views in one day.  It bothered me all year long and threw my totals off.  So this year – which I’m so happy to report, I didn’t have any spy bots, and I still managed to exceed the prior year, which is awesome!

Thank you all for continuing to read the Tucson Songstress.  It’s been a busy year for me with a new full time job and going back to grad school.  I am so appreciative that you all still take time in your day to read my thoughts.  So – here’s the real deal – the cold hard facts, and you can see the impact you’ve all had on my site.

See the report below…

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 38,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 14 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Of course, this is a song of the day blog, and the song that jumped into mind when I tried to sum up my year was “Truckin'” by the Grateful Dead.  They sing “What a long strange trip it’s been,” and true that!  It’s been trippy, but awesome at the same time.  Thank you all for being a part of it!
