Hair, #1218

Standard

It’s beauty day!  Oh how I love this day.  Beauty day is the day I go to my hairdresser’s.  I always wait too long between visits, and by the time beauty day arrives, I have roots a mile long, gray hairs popping out all over the place, and I look pretty darn frumpy.

Every time I head to the hairdresser’s, I arrive with photos of haircuts I’m oohing and aahing over and praying that my beloved stylist can transform me.  Perhaps I just want to look like the model in the photo or the young Hollywood starlet, but what I do know is that I always want to come out looking fabulous.

Here are the photos I’m bringing in today.  They’re all similar, and I love them.

Vanity is a funny thing.  I don’t consider myself to be a superficial person, but heck, bad hair can really give me the blues.  As French novelist and feminist, George Sand, once said…

Amen sistah!  Don’t you know it?  Regardless though, reason is going out the window today and vanity wins.  I simply can’t wait for my haircut and have to celebrate with listening to what else???? – the musical Hair.  Enjoy!

About tucsonsongstress

I am a music teacher for children ages 6-weeks-old - 8th grade. I am also a camp songleader and a Jewish music specialist with and without my husband who is known as Shabbat Scott. We love singing with people of all ages all over Tucson. My "song of the day" idea originally started by playing music challenges on Facebook. I loved choosing songs, and my friends seemed to love reading and listening to my choices. I have decided to continue a daily blog (or as daily as I can manage) and tell you all some stories through some songs that have touched me either in wonderful ways or by annoying the heck out of me. Hope you all enjoy this blog! Happy singing!
